And scope of application (see Table 3)
model | Scope of application |
SM01 | Plate glass, transparent glass products, cosmetic bottles, wine bottles |
SM003 | Quartz tube, quartz bulb, quartz products, high temperature glass |
SM004 | High boron glass, neutral glass, high hardness glass, lighting glass |
Second, the preparation of frost liquid
Prepare frosting liquid according to the ratio of 1 kg of frosted powder plus 500 g of industrial hydrochloric acid (concentration: 32% -36%) (among which SM03 recommends the preparation of 1 kg plus 400 g of industrial hydrochloric acid): Put the frosted powder into a plastic bucket first Then, add industrial hydrochloric acid according to the formulation ratio, stir well with a plastic (or bamboo, wood) stick until it is uniform, cover and seal the prepared medicinal solution, and let it mature for 24 hours at room temperature. The newly prepared frosted liquid is thicker and the temperature drops. After curing, the viscosity and temperature of the liquid can return to normal. Properly extend the aging time when the amount is large or the weather is cold.
Third, frosting process
First, the frosted liquid is fully stirred, and the solids deposited on the bottom of the container must be stirred until a uniform suspension liquid is formed. Then, the clean glass product is immersed in the frosted liquid and left for a period of time (the length of time varies depending on the glass material, For details, please refer to Table 4). Take out and dry for about 5-10 seconds to make the frosted liquid return to the barrel. The use temperature of frosted liquid is best kept between 10-35 ° C.

The glass products are cleaned with tap water or sprayed clean. If they are washed with a soft cloth and then rinsed with tap water, they are more clean. The washed glass products can be dried naturally.
Fifth, maintenance of frosted liquid
For acid series frosting powder, as long as the frosting liquid's acidity and consistency are in the normal range, a good frosting effect can be obtained. For SM01, its pH is between 1-2; for SM03 and SM04, its pH is between 0.5-1.5. As for the consistency of the frosted liquid, there are more granular or needle-like crystals on the liquid surface (it can also be determined by comparing with the newly opened frosted liquid). The specific maintenance method is as follows: SM01 type: add concentrated liquid for maintenance according to the production volume, and the concentrated liquid is prepared by adding 10 kg of concentrated hydrochloric acid per box of powder. Generally, the production of 100㎡ single-sided frosted glass needs to add 10 kg of concentrated liquid, and at the same time, it is necessary to add concentrated sulfuric acid to adjust the pH to 1-2.
Due to improper operation or other reasons, the following problems may occur with frosted fluid:
① Flower marks (tear-like or cloud-like) appear on the frosted surface, which is caused by high acid in the frosted liquid. Grain powder can be added gradually to adjust the pH value to the normal range. Generally, the addition of 5% -10% of frosted powder can meet the requirements, that is, 2.5 to 5 kg of frosted powder per 50 kg of frosted liquid.
②Empty spots appear on the frosted surface or the frosting time becomes longer. This is caused by low acidity. You can gradually add concentrated sulfuric acid to adjust the pH to the normal range. Generally add 1-2 kg of concentrated sulfuric acid per 50 kg of frosted liquid.
③ The particles on the frosted surface become coarse, the acidity is too low, or the powder content is too low. It is possible to first adjust the pH by measuring the pH value and determining the cause, then refer to the methods ① and ②.
④ The sand is not covered at all, and the causes may be as follows:
a. The acid is too low and the pH is above 4;
b. The acid is normal and the powder content is too low. Add a lot of frosting powder until the frosting solution looks thick enough. (Compared with the new liquid, generally there should be more crystals in the liquid.)
c. Both acid and powder are lacking. The frost liquid is milk-like and no crystals can be seen on the liquid surface. Solution: Add a large amount of frosted powder, supplemented with concentrated sulfuric acid, so that the consistency and acidity of the frosted liquid are within the normal range. The added amount of concentrated sulfuric acid is generally 5-8 kg per box of powder.
SM03 and SM04 types.
When it is used to decrease the medicine power, it can be added as follows: 3 kg of old solution + 1 kg of SM03 (or SM04) + 0.2-0.4 kg of concentrated sulfuric acid.
